About Us

Welcome to Family Sharing of Ozaukee County

For more than 20 years, the Family Sharing Store, Food Pantry and outreach services have helped maintain the dignity and quality of life for thousands of people in our community.  We serve the working poor, elderly, disabled and those dealing with mental health issues, offering a compassionate hand of friendship for all in need of our aid.

Our History

In 1978, Jane and Roman Monarski saw a need to assist the working poor, elderly, disabled and mentally challenged residents of Ozaukee County.  They began operating out of their Grafton home garage, and as the need grew, so did the facilities.  The Monarskis’ moved on to a barn and later to Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.  In 1984, Family Sharing of Ozaukee County was incorporated and a new facility was built with the help of generous benefactors and selfless volunteers.  In 2001, after 23 years of devoted and dedicated service to the community, Jane Monarski retired.

Today, Jane’s dream lives on

Family Sharing now serves over 360 Ozaukee residents and distributes an average of 3500 pounds of food each week.
